To contemplate the work of Frank David Valdés Hernández, to analyze it, to understand it, is to enter a world of codes, revisits, winks, a system of symbols that the artist creates in his microcosm, from events, mostly self-referential. Sensitive to life, relationships, the human being, this young creator is in love with his books, his stories, his muses and his paintings. Romance and passion in the work of Frank David Valdés Hernández. Although his academic training is linked to the study of visual arts, his first insertions in the professional environment began illustrating books at the prestigious Vigia publishing house, in the western city of Matanzas. This link, he confesses, was a basis for experimentation and the fusion of plastic arts with graphic design, two great aspects that bifurcate his artistic career.

Currently his work it is recognized as the result of a process of mutation and maturity. There are constants in his production: the use of the iridescent color palette indicates his attachment to the assumptions of Pop Art, while the expressionist features coin his canvas. He associates this range of tones with the tropics, with the sense of insularity and also with his temperament. The expressionist line is related to the passionate undertone that almost always exists in his pieces.
